Will you keep me updated with my job progress?
Yes! I keep you updated from start to finish via email w/ photos
- you will see your tins from the primer stage all the way to the
final buff/polish stage with everything in between. I stay in close
contact with you throughout the entire job and you will virtually
see it transpire before your eyes.
How long will my job take to be finished?
Generally it will take about 3-4 weeks time to complete your job
(longer for full dressers), but a more accurate time-frame will be
quoted when your job comes in - if it's the busy season, you
should expect to wait up to 6 - 8 weeks, which is still most
painters' average lead time anyway. You can check my NEWS
page for current lead time. I always turn em out quickly, without
compromising quality...
How much do you require down to start a job?
Generally I accept 50% down and balance upon completion.
Paying 100% upfront is also welcomed, but not necessary. On
larger jobs (ie full dressers) I will accept 1/3, 1/3 and 1/3...and on
some occasions, I will accept a small deposit of $500. I am
flexible and do what I can to accomodate YOU the customer!
How do you ship my items back to me?
Almost always your items will be individually packaged and fully
insured using UPS Ground Service - tracking info provided. If
Int'l then most likely it will be through Airmail Parcel Post using
the USPS.
Why should I choose Kustom Flames?
There are several reasons: 1. My work is top-notch 2. My
prices are extremely reasonable 3. My service is fast and
friendly. 4. My communication is second to none! 5. My
paint jobs take trophies at bike shows 6. I treat every job
as if it were going on my own bike. You will not be
disappointed - I guarantee it!!! But, don't take my word for it,
read some of what people are saying about me HERE
How do you offer such quality paint jobs at such low
prices?
Simple. I have a modest shop with low overhead - I control all
aspects of the job by doing all the work myself and I charge a
fair rate for my labour. I try and offer high-end paint jobs at
prices the every day Joe can afford...
MY MOTTO IS: WHAT GOOD IS CUSTOM PAINT IF YOU
CAN'T AFFORD IT?!
Do you offer any type of warranty?
YOU BET! There is a FULL TWO YEAR warranty on painted
parts that guarantees against paint issues such as cracking,
fading, bubbling or peeling. It does not apply to any damages
that may occur while riding or during installation. It also does
not apply to aftermarket tanks - please refer to my disclaimer

How do you get your designs to be so symmetrical?
Thanks for noticing! While other painters trace their designs
from one side to the other, than save the designs and keep
using over and over...I eyeball my designs. I completely
freehand all my flame layouts, and to ensure they are
symmetrical I even take measurements! I only do
one-of-a-kinds remember...
I am ready to send you my tins, do you have any advice for
me?
Excellent question - yes I do! Here are some pointers:
1. Pack items in separate boxes (see shipping tips link below)
2. Wrap each item well - use foam wrap and bubble wrap, and
be sure to fill the boxes with peanuts and plenty of packing
materials (delivery services will not handle your precious tins
the same way you would...)
3. Take out Insurance
4. Please take off any pieces that will not be painted - chrome
trim, fender tips, fuel lines, gas caps, etc...IF YOU CANNOT
TAKE OFF ITEMS LIKE FUEL GAUGES, ETC, I WILL DO SO.
5. Please send me CLEAN goods! You wouldn't go to the
dentist w/o brushing your teeth or the doctor without taking a
shower (HOPEFULLY..) so please don't send me your fenders
with mud, oil, or roadkill stuck to the bottom! PLEASE DRAIN
ALL GAS FROM YOUR TANKS, TOO!
6. A GOOD RULE OF THUMB - IF YOU DON'T WANT IT
PAINTED, DON'T SEND IT! :)

What brand of paints do you use?
House of Kolor paints mostly as well as some PPG and some
high end Sherwin Williams Automotive. Basically, I use the right
paint for the job!
